This place is a gem. Our puppy boy loves going here more than being at our house. Everyone who works here is caring, genuine, and friendly. What I love most is that I don’t have to worry about my dog being pinned up all day and that they are properly getting looked after. We go out of our way at times to get our puppy here because it’s that great of a place. He’s part of the family. He belongs. And there’s not anything more we could ask for.
I highly recommend Four Paws Doggie Day Camp. Our Rudy has matured, learned better dog manners, and become more content at home since he has been spending two days a week there running and playing with his fellow four-leggeds. And my husband and I have some guilt-free time to spend together or to pursue our own interests.
The staff, led by owner Heike, are loving and kind, vigilant caretakers. They are advised by a professional dog behaviorist/trainer. Safety is a priority. New dogs are vetted before being accepted. Dogs play in different pastures according to their size and temperaments. Plenty of shade and kiddie pools keep them cool. They are moved to safer shelter in stormy weather.
In addition to daycare, Four Paws offers baths and nail trimming. All of this for very reasonable rates. For us, it has been an investment that has paid off well for our whole family’s quality of life.
I am Jax, a 14-month-old high-energy Australian labradoodle. From the time I was a pup my parents worked hard to socialize me. I romped on the beach, sat outside at restaurants, enjoyed my neighbor’s pool, and took a three-week roadtrip to New England. Each adventure was fun and exciting; I enjoyed meeting people and their pups, but what I really wanted to do was run. I went to several dog parks, but sometimes the other dogs were aggressive. My parents decided I needed more focused activity. They started taking me to doggie daycares and observing me at play. After many visits, they found the absolute perfect place for me; my tail wagged like never before!
Four Paws Doggie Day Camp is located in Bradenton, Florida, on over six acres of farmland, four of which are fenced into several large sections for dog recreation. The owner and director, Heike Caspary, is an experienced dog handler who has run the camp for 11 years. Before she would accept me into her program, she watched me play with other dogs and checked my medical records to make sure I was fully inoculated. My happiest moment was when she opened the gate to the play area – and my life…
Camp takes place every weekday from 9 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. I can be dropped off any day or time and picked up when it is convenient for my parents. Once we turn off the main road and I see the farm ahead, I start barking to my friends who I see in the distance. I can hardly wait until we stop, and I can run out of the car. All the dogs know each other, and my friends run to greet me. For the whole time I’m there, usually a couple of hours, I run and run and run. My favorite time is summer when little swimming pools are placed throughout the play areas. I love to run, jump into the water to cool off, roll on the grass to dry off, and then run some more. Heike and her specially trained staff are outside all day, every day, watching us to make sure we all get along, but of course we do. We know we are lucky dogs – free to be dogs, free to have endless fun.
Before we leave we are washed so our parents can just open the car door and take us home. Once there we sleep off our exhilarated play day as we dream about our next magical visit to Four Paws Doggie Day Camp.
Heike and her family and staff are wonderful. This is very different than the typical Doggie Daycare. This is a more intimate setting where a highly trained group of people help nurture our dogs to be socially interactive to the extent they are able and to recognize their limitations.

Simply doggie heaven! this is a top-notch operation where your dog can run free, play with other dogs, chase balls, roll in dirt and sniff everything!! All under the watchful eye of dedicated, knowledgeable staff. Dogs play in different areas by activity level and socialization. My dog gets so excited to go to this special place- thank you Heike!!!
